Geek+ Opens Düsseldorf Lab for Live Warehouse Robot Demonstrations

DUSSSELDORF, Germany - Geek+, a Chinese warehouse robot company, has opened its first European Innovation Lab in Düsseldorf, giving customers and partners a venue to see and test warehouse robotics systems for various logistics applications.

The company's announcement of the opening lists the Gino 1 humanoid robot, a system called Robo Shuttle Hyper, and an integrated robotic arm picking station among the range of systems visitors can see at work. Demonstrations will involve workflows with pallets, storage containers, and shelves headed for picking stations.

Geek+ announced the opening of the facility with the emphasis on live warehouse automation systems along with customer presentations. The company stressed the value of witnessing systems to operate in a working environment as opposed to showing individual machines.

The lab also showcases 'Gravity', Geek+'s embodied AI framework that can perform complex physical tasks. No quantitative data was provided to measure the operational effects on tasks such as picking accuracy or throughput and reliability.

Geek+ announced they also plan to operate the facility on a monthly basis for visits as well as industry focused days. The facility will also be used to test and demonstrate future systems.

The scheduled partner training event for Sept. 17-18, adds hands-on demonstrations to the opening week's activities. The company says the training session will provide partners from across EMEA a hands-on familiarization with its robotics systems and solutions.
