Pudu Introduces Self-Sharpening Robot Lawn Mower Series
The TOMO S series uses a charging-station system to sharpen cutting blades automatically, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

SHENZHEN, China -- Pudu Robotics has presented a line of robotic lawn mowers with self-sharpening system that allows performing maintenance work without operator’s participation.
This new series, called TOMO S was presented November 3 equipped with a proprietary technology SharpLoop Self-Sharpening System, allowing sharpening of the rotating blades of the robot in the moment it reaches its docking station.
According to the information provided by Pudu Robotics, the system detects when sharpening is necessary and performs this procedure without the need of removing the blades from the robot.
The manufacturer claims that the new device is the first self-sharpening robotic mower with rotary blade system, however there is no independent confirmation of this statement.
TOMO S series uses a cutting mechanism with two 636 watts motors powering the blades at speeds of up to 6,000 revolutions per minute. According to Pudu, the mower has aerodynamic blades that lift downed grass before cutting and a rear discharge system that moves clippings away from the cutter to prevent clogging.
For guidance, the robots utilize lidar technology, artificial intelligence vision, real-time kinematic positioning, and automatic mapping. Three mower models with areas between 1,500 to 5,000 square meters will be available.
Sales are expected to begin in early spring 2027. The company has not disclosed pricing or regional availability.
Earlier this week, Pudu announced its opening of a new European headquarters near Düsseldorf in Germany. The company said its business grew by more than 60% annually over the past two years in 11 European markets, although it did not disclose sales figures.
