NVIDIA Unveils New Safety System for Humanoid Robots

Humanoid robots are becoming more and more capable each year. These robots can walk and talk, and even help us in our day-to-day chores. But as these robots are becoming more common in workplaces or homes, etc., one important question remains: How can they safely work around humans?
Technology company NVIDIA believes it has found an answer.
The American chipmaker has recently introduced a new safety platform called Halos for Robotics. This platform is specifically designed to make humanoid robots safer when interacting with people. The system combines Artificial Intelligence (AI), sensors, software, and safety tools so that robots become capable of understanding their surroundings in order to prevent accidents.

These robots will help workers in factories by lifting heavy objects. Not only this, but these robots can also help elderly people in their day-to-day lives. But it’s worth noting that widespread adoption of these robots will depend on public trust.
