About the A1

The Unitree A1 is a lightweight commercial quadruped robot developed by Unitree Robotics for research, education, autonomous navigation, and robotic mobility applications. Weighing approximately 12 kg with 12 degrees of freedom, the A1 can run at speeds up to 3.3 m/s, perform dynamic maneuvers including jumps and backflips, and traverse uneven terrain using advanced dynamic balance control. Equipped with an Intel RealSense depth camera, foot-end force sensors, ROS compatibility, and optional NVIDIA Jetson AI computing, the A1 provides a flexible development platform for legged robotics research, autonomous navigation, and AI algorithm development.
