About the TurtleBot 3

ROBOTIS TurtleBot3 is a compact, low-cost, open-source ROS mobile robot platform specifically designed for robotics education, research, hobby development and product prototyping. Available primarily as Burger and Waffle Pi configurations, TurtleBot3 combines differential-drive mobility, DYNAMIXEL actuators, an OpenCR control board, Raspberry Pi computing, IMU and 360° LiDAR to support SLAM, localization, autonomous navigation and robotics/AI experimentation. Its open hardware, firmware, software and CAD architecture allows researchers, students and developers to modify the platform, integrate sensors and computers, develop ROS/ROS 2 applications and expand it into configurations such as mobile manipulation.
