About the OP2
ROBOTIS OP2, also known as DARWIN-OP2 or DARWIN 2, is a 20-DoF miniature bipedal humanoid developed by ROBOTIS as the upgraded successor to DARwIn-OP. Designed specifically for robotics research, education and development, OP2 combines DYNAMIXEL MX-28T actuators, a dual-core Intel Atom computer, camera, gyroscope and accelerometer with an open hardware/software architecture. It supports programmable bipedal walking, dynamic balancing, autonomous soccer demonstrations, vision processing, motion development, ROS integration and Gazebo simulation. OP2 can also autonomously recover from face-down and face-up positions. It has since been discontinued and superseded by ROBOTIS OP3.
