DUBAI -- LinkerBot, a Beijing-based developer of robotic hands, is in talks to integrate Chinese components with investment and assembly operations in the United Arab Emirates.
Weber Su, the company’s vice president and head of global markets, described the discussions during the AIM Summit in Dubai earlier this week, according to a report by The National.

The Beijing-based company has not identified the institutions involved or announced a signed manufacturing agreement. Details about investment scale, factory location and production timetable remain confidential.

LinkerBot specializes in robotic hands for dexterous grasping and manipulation. Its component business also includes reducers and micromotors, which help control robotic movement.

According to Su, Chinese manufacturers would continue to supply specialized components while UAE partners provide funding and automated manufacturing or assembly capabilities.

Chinese manufacturers will keep delivering specialized components while UAE partners supply capital and automated assembly. The companies need to agree on funding structure, who will handle manufacturing duties and the commercial aspects of their potential partnership.

The proposal comes as the UAE seeks to expand domestic manufacturing through its Operation 300bn industrial strategy. The project aims to grow the industrial sector's contribution to gross domestic product to 300 billion dirhams by 2031.

The country's industrial exports rose 25% to 262 billion dirhams in 2025, as per official data cited by The National. Medium- and high-technology exports were up 42% to 92 billion dirhams.
