Vention, Richtech to Bring Agentic and Physical AI Systems to IMTS 2026
Vention will show software that generates automation layouts and programs from text prompts, while Richtech plans to coordinate a humanoid with a mobile robot.

CHICAGO — Vention plans to demonstrate an agentic AI system for designing, programming and monitoring industrial automation at IMTS 2026. Richtech Robotics plans to show a humanoid and a mobile robot working together through a shared management platform.
The planned displays present two approaches to applying artificial intelligence in factories. Vention is concentrating on the engineering workflow for automated equipment, while Richtech is seeking to coordinate robots with different physical roles.
The International Manufacturing Technology Show is scheduled for Sept. 14-19 at McCormick Place in Chicago, according to the event organizer. Neither company’s announcement establishes that the capabilities it plans to display are operating in regular customer production.
Vention’s MachineAgent software uses plain-language prompts to generate automation-cell layouts and industrial programs and to analyze data from connected machines, according to the Montreal company.
Vention cautions that MachineAgent can generate incorrect or incomplete output. Its layouts should be treated as starting points, and safety-related design elements must be approved by a qualified engineer before deployment.
Richtech, a Nasdaq-listed robotics company based in Nevada, plans to demonstrate its DEX humanoid working alongside its Titan 440 autonomous mobile robot. The company said Sept. 10 that DEX would handle objects while Titan transported parts, materials and palletized loads.
Richtech says employees would monitor the machines through a centralized dashboard displaying their status, routes and task progress. Richtech says work assignments could be changed as operating requirements shift.
The demonstration is intended to show the robots handling a material-handling workflow. Richtech did not disclose operating data from a customer site or provide the DEX’s price.
For manufacturers, the more useful evidence will come after the trade show: whether the systems can operate reliably in production, integrate with existing equipment and reduce engineering or material-handling costs. Neither company provided independently verified customer results for the capabilities it plans to display.
