About the TPR-Robina
Toyota TPR-Robina is a 1.2-meter, 60 kg autonomous wheeled service robot developed under the Toyota Partner Robot program and deployed as a tour guide at Toyota Kaikan Exhibition Hall in 2007. It autonomously travels toward destinations while avoiding obstacles, guides visitors through exhibitions, provides spoken explanations and communicates through gestures. Its image-recognition system can identify visitors' name tags and personalize explanations, while articulated fingers enable it to physically sign autographs.
