About the Explorer D1

Explorer D1 is a full-size bipedal humanoid robot developed by CETC 21st Research Institute and CETC Robotics for industrial, logistics and special-purpose applications. It uses a model-driven motion-control approach, reaches a maximum speed of 10 km/h, can negotiate 20 cm steps and 20° slopes, jump approximately 0.5 m horizontally and 0.2 m vertically, avoid obstacles and recover after falling. Its hands incorporate 0.1 N-sensitive pressure sensors for physical interaction.
