The Shanghai Electric SUYUAN (溯元) is a Chinese bipedal industrial humanoid introduced in 2025 for inspection, material handling, warehouse logistics and assembly. Its original configuration stood 167 cm, weighed 50 kg, had 38 DoF, carried up to 10 kg, supported a 2 kg single-arm load, moved at up to 5 km/h, and used LiDAR, binocular vision and 275 TOPS of onboard AI compute. In 2026, Shanghai Electric evolved SUYUAN to 41 DoF, added multimodal visual sensing to the head and torso, and introduced a dual-battery hot-swap system for extended industrial operation.
