About the NEXTAGE (NXA) OPEN

The NEXTAGE (NXA) OPEN is a dual-arm humanoid research platform from Kawada Robotics Corporation that combines the same proven hardware as the industrial NEXTAGE NXA with an extensible open software environment. Built around OpenRTM-aist and compatible with ROS, it allows universities and research institutes to integrate custom software, sensors and devices for advanced work in AI, robot learning, perception, human-robot interaction and bimanual manipulation. It provides two 6-axis arms, stereo head vision, hand cameras and a 2.5 kg rated payload per arm.
