Genisom AI Raises ’Hundreds of Millions’ of Yuan for Embodied Robotics
Stone Venture led the Series B as the Chinese developer plans more spending on robot hardware, autonomous navigation and systems for industrial tasks.

BEIJING — Chinese robotics developer Genisom AI raised several hundred million yuan in a Series B financing as it seeks to expand development of humanoid and quadruped robots for industrial applications.
UAE-based Stone Venture led the round, with participation from Hongshan Capital, Guangdong Technology Financial Group, Wuzhong Rongyue and Wuzhong Financial Holdings, according to a Sept. 20 report (Chinese-language report). Industrial investors included Neusoft Group, Highpower Technology, Vision Capital and Riying Electronics.
Genisom did not disclose the exact amount raised, its valuation or the ownership stakes acquired by the investors.
The company plans to spend the new capital on robot hardware, embodied-AI systems and technology that allows machines to perform tasks in industrial environments. It also plans further development of GSD, or Genisom Self-Driving, its autonomous navigation system.
Founded in December 2023, Genisom develops quadruped and humanoid robots, robot joint modules and software for navigation and control. Its current hardware includes the M1 quadruped and other legged robots, while the company has also presented humanoid systems. Its website lists operations in Beijing and Suzhou, Jiangsu province, where it says it operates its own factory.
The financing follows several earlier rounds. Genisom said in January that it had completed multiple financings totaling several hundred million yuan from investors including AgiBot, Gui'an Kunpeng Fund, Golden Horse Amusement, Keli Sensing and Highpower Technology.
Production is a central part of the company's pitch to investors. Genisom says it had cumulatively manufactured more than 15,000 embodied-intelligence robots by June and that monthly production capacity exceeded 5,000 units. The company also says its monthly capacity increased more than tenfold from its average monthly level last year.
Those numbers should not be treated as equivalent to sales or deliveries. Genisom has not publicly provided a breakdown showing how many of the 15,000 robots were sold, delivered to customers or placed into routine commercial operation.
The company says its robots are used in power infrastructure, petrochemicals, firefighting, security, emergency response and education, and that it works with more than 500 ecosystem partners. Public disclosures reviewed by Robot24 do not provide a customer-by-customer breakdown of the 15,000-unit production figure or revenue associated with those robots.
The new funding is intended partly to improve robot quality, reliability and cost competitiveness and move its systems from autonomous navigation toward completing industrial tasks without continuous human control, according to the company. Genisom has not disclosed a timetable for those technical goals or financial results showing the commercial scale of its robot business.
