Faraday Unveils Two Humanoids Priced at $2,490 and Just $299
The compact bipedal robot supports reinforcement learning and simulation-to-real training, with an initial sales phase limited to 100 units.

LOS ANGELES -- Faraday Future and FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem have introduced the FF Nova, a 50-centimeter humanoid robot priced at $2,490 for developers and educational institutions, with initial sales restricted to 100 units.
The companies announced the robot alongside the smaller FF Nova Mini, a $299 programmable humanoid intended for introductory robotics education.
Nova stands 49.7 centimeters tall, weighs approximately 2.8 kilograms and has 20 degrees of freedom, including 12 in its legs. It can walk independently or travel on a detachable wheeled base.
According to the product specifications, its maximum walking speed is 0.1 meters per second, compared with 0.8 meters per second when using the wheeled base. The robot incorporates LiDAR, cameras, depth sensing and microphones, with onboard computing rated at 10 trillion operations per second.
The system is designed for reinforcement learning, allowing developers to train control policies in simulation before transferring them to the physical robot. Faraday Future says it supports Nvidia Isaac workflows, software development kits and integration with ROS 2.
The initial release is invitation-only for developers and educational institutions. The companies say the first 20 units are available for immediate delivery, with applications required for the 100-unit opening phase. A separate developer skills package costs $390.
The smaller Nova Mini stands 34.9 centimeters tall, weighs less than 1 kilogram and has 17 motorized joints. It is designed for programming lessons, movement demonstrations and classroom activities. Faraday Future also introduced a $499 educational curriculum featuring 16 live classes over two months.
The company's launch information describes plans to expand Nova sales to more developers and institutions before opening a consumer phase. No timetable was provided for those later stages.
The announcements follow an Oct. 12 agreement for FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem to acquire Faraday Future's robotics business in an all-stock transaction. The companies have not reported independent performance testing of Nova or confirmed customer deliveries beyond the units they say are ready for shipment.
