HONG KONG -- D-Robotics has closed a $400 million Series C funding round to expand its robot-computing chips and develop a software platform spanning more of the robot-development process.

Mirae Asset took the lead in this investment round, as reported on the Finance BigGo website. Some new investors joined in, along with some familiar faces - these included the investment arm of Meituan, government-backed funds from Hefei and Shenzhen, Cathay Capital, GL Ventures, 5Y Capital, Linear Capital, Vertex Growth, and Prosperity7.

The company said Sept. 17 it would use the money to expand its Sunrise chip portfolio across different computing requirements. It also plans to develop software covering data collection, model training, simulation, validation and the deployment of trained models on robots.

D-Robotics hasn't said how much the company is worth or what percentage of the company the investors now own.

Recently, D-Robotics completed its Series B ,round raising $270 million. This happened about five months before their latest financing. When you add these two rounds together, it looks like D-Robotics has raised almost 5 billion yuan, or around $702 million, in 2026. However, the company hasn't shared all the details about their funding history to confirm this total.

D-Robotics supplies processors and specialized kits for all sorts of machines - humanoid, four‑legged (quadruped), autonomous and consumer devices.

The Sunrise S600 processor, launched by D-Robotics in November 2025, is specifically designed to support embodied-AI models on robots, which is a big deal. In just six months, over 20 customers have already adopted this chip, and some of the notable ones include UBTech, Fourier, Astribot, Booster Robotics, PaXini Tech, TARS, and X Square Robot.
This is a significant milestone, and it shows that the industry is really taking notice of the potential of embodied-AI in robotics. With this processor, robots can become even more intelligent and capable, and it's exciting to think about what kind of innovations we might see in the future.
